실종 여성 기록 지운 담당 경찰관 체포

제주에서 30대 여성이 실종된 사건과 관련해 의심스러운 정황이 드러났습니다.

담당 경찰관이 실종 여성의 기록을 경찰 내부 시스템에서 삭제한 사실이 확인되었으며, 해당 경찰관은 오늘(22일) 긴급 체포되었습니다.

장미란 씨가 실종된 후, 그녀의 남자친구는 112에 추가 실종 신고를 했습니다.

하지만 이 두 번째 신고는 공식적으로 접수되지 않았습니다.

이는 최초 신고를 접수한 경찰관인 부(Bu) 경관이 112 상황실에 “장 씨가 신고자에게 자신의 위치를 ​​알리지 말아 달라고 요청했다”는 내용을 남겼기 때문입니다.

오윤성 순천향대 경찰행정학과 교수: “만약 본인이 가족에게 전화번호를 공유하지 말아 달라고 구체적으로 요청했다면, 해당 경찰관의 행위는 단순한 직무 유기나 과실과는 성격이 상당히 달라 보입니다.”

또한 부 경관이 장 씨의 사건을 경찰 실종자 관리 시스템에 입력했다가 이후 삭제한 사실도 확인되었습니다.

그는 단순히 기록을 지운 것이 아니라 ‘특이 사유’ 항목으로 입력하여, 관리자조차 삭제 이력을 확인할 수 없도록 조치했습니다.

경찰은 수사를 확대하여 부 경관이 처리한 사건들을 전면 재검토했고, 그 결과 지난달 2일 접수된 실종 사건도 허위로 종결 처리한 사실을 밝혀냈습니다.

오늘 오후, 경찰은 직무 유기 및 위계에 의한 공무집행방해 등의 혐의로 부 경관을 긴급 체포했습니다.

한편, 경찰은 실종자 가족에 대한 2차 가해에 대해서도 단호하게 대응하고 있습니다.

국가수사본부는 실종자를 찾는 데 도움을 주겠다며 가족에게 신음 소리를 들려달라고 요구하고, 반복적으로 문자 메시지와 전화를 건 10대 남성을 검거했습니다.

Suspicious circumstances have emerged regarding the disappearance of a woman in her 30s in Jeju.

It has been confirmed that the officer in charge deleted the missing woman’s records from the internal police system.

After Ms. Jang Mi-ran went missing, her boyfriend filed a follow-up missing person report with the 112 emergency line.

However, the second report was not officially logged.

This was because the officer who received the initial report, Police Officer Bu, left a note with the 112 dispatch center stating that Ms. Jang had asked not to have her location disclosed to the person filing the report.

It was also confirmed that Officer Bu had entered Ms. Jang’s case into the police’s missing person management system but subsequently deleted it.

He did not simply erase the record; he entered it under a “special reason” category, effectively preventing even administrators from viewing the deletion history.

Expanding the investigation, the police conducted a comprehensive review of cases handled by Officer Bu and discovered that he had also falsely closed a missing person case reported on the 2nd of last month.

This afternoon, the police placed Officer Bu under emergency arrest on charges including dereliction of duty and obstruction of official business through deceit.

Meanwhile, the police have also taken a firm stance against secondary victimization of the missing person’s family.

The National Office of Investigation apprehended a male teenager who had repeatedly sent text messages and made calls to the missing person’s family, claiming he would help locate the missing person if they played the sound of groaning for him.
