지난달 핫 100에서 81위로 데뷔한 이 곡은 영화의 성공에 힘입어 꾸준히 차트를 오르며 7주 차에 1위를 차지했습니다.
지금까지 K팝 가수 중 이 차트에서 1위를 차지한 것은 방탄소년단의 6곡과 멤버 지민과 정국의 솔로곡 각각 1곡뿐이었습니다.
이에 앞서 “골든”은 1일 빌보드와 더불어 세계 양대 차트로 꼽히는 영국 오피셜 싱글 차트 톱 100에서도 1위를 차지하며, K팝 역사상 최초로 두 차트를 모두 석권한 곡이 되었습니다.
“골든”은 영화 “케이팝 데몬 헌터스”에 등장하는 가상의 K팝 걸그룹 헌트트릭스가 부른 노래입니다.
이 곡은 한국 엔터테인먼트 기획사 연습생 출신 작곡가 이재가 작사, 작곡했고, 오드리 누나와 레이 아미가 불렀는데, 세 사람 모두 한국계 미국인입니다.
Billboard announced in its preview for the chart to be released on the 16th that “Golden” has taken the top spot.
The song, which debuted at No. 81 on the Hot 100 last month, climbed steadily thanks to the film’s success, ultimately reaching No. 1 in its seventh week.
Until now, only six BTS tracks, along with one solo song each from members Jimin and Jungkook, had ever reached No. 1 on this chart among K-pop acts.
Earlier on the 1st, “Golden” also claimed the No. 1 position on the UK Official Singles Chart Top 100—considered, along with Billboard, one of the two most prestigious global charts—making it the first K-pop song in history to top both charts.
“Golden” is performed by Hunttrix, a fictional K-pop girl group featured in the film K-pop Demon Hunters.
The track was written by former Korean entertainment agency trainee-turned-composer Lee Jae, and sung by Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami, all three of whom are Korean American.
